A new destination for art, craft, creativity and community is coming to Berkeley this fall. Starfish Arts, a new LGBT+-owned and operated Unique Boutique and Makers’ Space, will officially open its doors at 1227 San Pablo Avenue with the launch of Siren Gallery and its inaugural curated group exhibition, NEW TO YOU, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6–8 p.m.
NEW TO YOU: The Opening Exhibition
The inaugural exhibition, NEW TO YOU, will introduce Siren Gallery with a first curated group exhibition featuring established and emerging contemporary artists.

The exhibition reflects Starfish Arts’ larger mission of expanding venues for artists to show and sell their work while encouraging audiences to engage with contemporary creative practices in an informal, accessible environment.
Starfish Arts intends for its exhibitions, classes and events to be spaces where people can celebrate their creative powers, have fun together, and make room for beauty, anger, resistance and joy.
Alongside the gallery and Makers’ Space, visitors will find a Unique Boutique featuring distinctive, handmade, upcycled and artist-created items, making Starfish Arts both a destination for art lovers and a resource for people looking for something genuinely different.
